St Agnes to PerrenPorth. Start/end St Agnes Town center Description A scenic walk along the South West Coastal path from St Agnes to Perranporth. Passing through Perranport Airfield and an old military site. Some paths have quite a steep drop off to the sea to be wary of.

Walk – Basset’s Cove and Tehidy Country Park.
Basset’s Cove and Tehidy Country Park. Start/end Basset’s Cove car park – Postcode: TR14 0HE GridReference: SW 6385 4414 Description This walk was a bit of an accidental find. We start exploring Tehidy Country park and found a path out to the coast. We discovered Basset’s Cove, so made our way back to the car and moved it to Basset’s Cove and had a walk along the coast.

Walk -St Agnes Head
St Agnes Head Start/end St Agnes Vicarage Road Description A short circular walk from St Agnes around St Agnes Beacon and on to St Agnes Head and round to Trevainance Cove and back to St Agnes. This walk takes a few hours and can get muddy after (or during) rain. There are several styles on the route. Some cliffside paths so take care, especially when windy.

Walk – Chapel Porth from St Agnes circular.
Chapel Porth from St Agnes circular. Description Stunning circular walk via Chapel Porth from St Agnes with a coastal section along South West Coastal Path. Taking in Wheal Coates mine and return via the tranquil Wheal Lawrence Valley. A few stiles and mainly easy going. Start/End Vicarage Rd, Saint Agnes TR5 0TH Nearest Refreshments/Toilets

Walk – Godrevy Point to Hells mouth
Godrevy Point to Hells mouth Start/end Godrevy Point National Trust Car Park. Description A coastal walk with the chance to see some seals. Take in the views of Godrevy Lighthouse on Godrevy Island, then walk through “The Knavocks” and on to Hell’s Mouth. Nearest Refreshments/Toilets Godrevy National Trust Car Park and at Hell’s Mouth (Cafe – seasonal). Please check for yourself opening times

A visit to Wakehurst Place, West Sussex
This weekend I visited Wakehurst Place in West Sussex. This is a Botanical Gardens funded by Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. Please note there is an entrance fee to the gardens, see their web site for details and opening times – click here. There is a magnificent Elizabethan Manor house set inĀ 465 Acres of grounds. At this time of year the woods were full of Bluebells, so it’s well worth exploring all the woodland.

Walk – The villages of Frieth, Fingest and Turville
Today I had a fabulous walk around the villages of Frieth, Fingest and Turville. Start/end Start in the village of Frieth (there is a small car park next to the village hall and school). Description The walk was a very pleasant 5 1/2 miles through the beautiful countryside of Buckinghamshire.
