Walk – St Agnes to PerranPorth.

St Agnes to PerrenPorth.

Start/end

St Agnes Town center

Description

A scenic walk along the South West Coastal path from St Agnes to Perranporth. Passing through Perranport Airfield and an old military site. Some paths have quite a steep drop off to the sea to be wary of.

Nearest Refreshments/Toilets

St Agnes at the start and Perranporth at the end.

Directions

Starting in St Agnes head down British Road to the roundabout. Take the road to the left of the Taphouse and then pick up the footpath on your right to the beach.

Once down by the beach follow the South West Coastal Path east along the coast.

Do not forget to look back and enjoy the views of Trevaunance cove behind you but watch your footing!

Continue past Blue Hills Tin Streams, and round the next headland.

You soon start to run parallel with Perranporth Airfield.

Rounding Hanover cove and on past Cligga Head, you find an old Military settlement to explore.

Once explored continue along the path, which does get a bit narrow and exposed to the wind and sea, and you will arrive in Perranporth.

There are many food and drink establishments to refresh you here and when ready, either return along the coast or catch the bus back to St Agnes. (Perranporth Beach Road (N-bound)). The number 87 bus is the one you want.
